and training has become an important part of starting the journey of
becoming an actor. Let's
get this straight, joining an acting course though useful is not
necessary. No one during an audition will ask you to show a certificate
of training, but a good acting course can help you refine your skills
and gain an edge over your competition.
Barry John Acting School
One of the most
recognized private acting schools in India, Barry John Acting School
has been around for 20 years now and boasts of one of the most
established alumni. Apart from there six-month diploma course
Barry John Acting School also has a three-month weekend certificate
course.
Ice – Institute of
Creative Excellence
Ice Institute is Ekta Kapoor’s
Film Making School Based out of Andheri East, Mumbai. They provide courses
related to most aspects of film making. Currently they have two acting
courses available. A basic three-month course and an advanced nine
months course. Apart from this Ice Institute also has an online course
available. For the students outside Mumbai Ice has branches in multiple
cities around India.
RSACE
Ramesh Sippy Academy of
Cinema and Entertainment was established in 2017 in a tie up with
Mumbai University. Located in the Mumbai university at Santacruz east,
RSACE offer a number of film-making courses along with a
three-month acting course.
The ITA School of
Preforming Arts
A part of the Indian
Television Academy. ITA is based out of Versova, Mumbai and provides
courses in acting, singing, dance and modeling. ITA has two fulltime
courses, the first one is a yearlong Couse and a four-month Couse.
Apart from this ITA also offers a number of part time and online
courses.
Kishore Namit Kapoor
Acting Institute

in 1983 Kishore Namit Kapoor
Acting Institute is a well-known name in the industry, having trained
some of the biggest names in Indian film industries. This institute
offers a nine-month course with trains students in acting, dance and
action among other things.
Placing Dreams: Film
& Television Institute
Placing Dreams is a
relatively new institute but never the less has created a space for
itself in the creative education sector. Their acting
course covers all of the necessary areas
of acting from speech to body language. During the course students also
get to appear in a number of student short films which is a great way
of building a solid portfolio. Placing Dreams is located in Mira Road,
Mumbai.
Actor's Art
Actor's Art is specialty
acting school run by Daisy Irani. Hey offer a one-year diploma course
along with a number of part time courses. Their acting courses
cover topics such as body language, Voice Modulation, Method Acting,
Theatre Acting etc.
Roshan Taneja Acting
School
Established in 1976 Roshan Taneja Acting
School is among the oldest and most established acting schools in
India. Based out of Andheri West, Mumbai this institute currently
offers three courses in acting. A four-month comprehensive diploma
